Cathay Pacific Fleet Information

Thanks to the work of QRC3288 and all those who contrinbuted to the Wikipedia page edits, we have been able to transfer the information to a Google doc for all to see. The link to the google doc is in the above wiki post.

If you wish to make any edits, the link to do so is in the page.

Please do keep it up to date if you know of any changes!

Well done! Any chance you can provide the option of saving the doc in Google Drive?

CXFlyerBoy Sep 9, 2016 2:58 am

Thanks. This is a lifesaver!!!

So we are ditching the Wikipedia page?

It's actually already in Google Drive. Do you mean you want to edit it? If so, then go to the link that's in the beginning section of the document.

Yes - it's too hard to battle the Wikipedians there.

Thanks for bringing it back!

Removing the "/pub" from the URL did it. Thanks!

@QRC3288 and sxc

Awesome and thank you!

Thanks guys!

thanks to all who help edit this going forward - it will make this forum even better.

the doc is a little buggy, we just restored a version from a few days ago. While you're editing, please keep the red text font in the front permanent. We've also added a few details like "v1, v2, v3" etc for different aircraft models. This is intentional, as it seems non-regular posters arrive here confused that 77W or A333 have multiple versions. Otherwise, the formatting is virtually unchanged from the old wiki flyerguide and brief wikipedia versions.

also thanks to epigram who spawned the idea in an old thread.

Another call for help - who is familiar with Google Docs?

All, we are *almost* there. But we still need some help. Does anyone have any advice? We seem to have a problem whereby the GDoc is consistently reverting to an old version. We think it's a bug, as I can't imagine why this would make sense, and neither SXC nor I are reverting it.

If you go to the editable link below, this is NOT the most recent version. The way you can tell the most recent version is

a.) it should have a big red disclaimer on the first page ("Maintained by the CX Flyertalk Board
Please don’t delete red text!
Note to all:
Edits to this document are welcome. Please make sure you are posting accurate and verified (not rumored) configurations or route details...". )
b.) all notes under the tables should be in 10 size font, not 10.5
c.) page spaces/breaks should be removed
d.) 35G, 77G tables reflect MEL schedule change next year
e.) all plane headers now have a "version" type, for example 35G reads "35G (A350-900 v1), to help less-familiar forum members
etc

There are many others. But these are just a few quick sanity checks to see whether or not you're actually viewing the most recent version.

If you go to Revision History (under File), my email address is Jonathan Carrier. Not sure if others besides me can see that, but that's an "accurate" version if so.

So in summary: whether by bug or accident (or sabotage!), the GDoc seems to be reverting to the old, original version daily, despite us making edits.
Help!

For now I have left the Gdoc unreverted (aka, old and slightly stale) in hopes that someone with experience here can review and give us some advice. Thank you all!

It's very strange....for the time being, I have turned off "web publishing" to see if that makes a difference.

QRC3288 Sep 12, 2016 7:59 am

I have restored the most-updated version. Let's see if this stays....
