A343: long haul product
B773: if not 77A, regional product

For short haul run 773 should be a more comfort ride unless you are picky with Inflight entertainment

I am booked on CX 360 which is showing a 744 which probably gives me a good shot a seat in F booked as C!

Why does CX fly a 747 on this route and not sell the F space? I'm surprised to see a 747 at all.

CX regionals often have last-minute equipment changes, so don't necessarily expect a 744. If CX sells F on this flight, when a equipment change does occur, F pax will be very disappointed.

I learned the hard way...it was downgraded to a 2 class Airbus. But flight was fine. Food was decent. Business class cabin was 70% empty. Crew was excellent. Love the Billecart Salmon Brut Rose.

Here are some highlights from the menu:

Starter:

* Italian XO Marinated prawns with over-dried tomato salad and citrus vinaigrette (3 smallish prawns)

Main Course:

* Pan-fried chicken with ginger and spring onion, steamed jasmine rice and Chinese mixed vegetables (specially created by chef Cheng Kam Fu, Celebrity Cuisine)

* Grilled ling fish with basil tomato concasse, sauteed shallot mustard potatoes, carrot, and asparagus

* Pan-fried sliced beef with Peking onion and satay sauce, braised e-fu noodles and choy sum

Haagen Dazs Ice Cream

Tea and coffee

Passion Fruit Macaroon

Champagne:
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose

White Wine:
P. Ferraud & Fils Cice-Clesse 2008
Next of Kins Margaret River Chardonnay 2009 (Western Australia)

Red Wine:
RockBare McLaren Vale Shiraz 2008 (Australia)
Lionel Osmin Haut Capitole Fronton 2007 (SW France, Negrette, Cab Savignon, + Cab Franc).

Vintage Port:
Dow's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2006

Cognac:
Hine Rare and Delicate Fine Champagne Cognac

Wiskey:
Chivas 12 year old or JW Green Label

I have an upcoming trip to India in J and want to know which carrier you recommend. I will be visiting MAA and BLR from NRT and can goto either city to start my India trip.

My options are:

NRT-HKG-MAA (All CX flights)
NRT-HKG on CX and HKG-BLR on KA

Which route is recommended in regards to comfort, food and service? I have flown CX couple of times to MNL & BKK but never on KA to any destination.

Also, will I have access to CX lounges in HKG if fly KA? Your advice is appreciated.

Very little difference. You have access to CX J lounge at Wing, Pier and Cabin

KA is much better!
CX is deploying regional fleet for HKG--MAA (NO FLAT BED AND NO AVOD) while KA deploys 33L which has got a flat bed which is up to international standard although the PTV has no AVOD as well
food in KA is better too!

Awesome. I guess I will go with KA then.

For my awareness in case of future trips to India, does CX use international style Flat beds to BOM & DEL? I believe KA does not serve these cities.
