An Unofficial Third Queue
I had an interesting experience when I boarded HKG-SFO earlier.
I arrived at the gate and boarding had already started. I went to the F/J line and there were about 15 people ahead of me. As this was a US-bound flight, there was a passport/BP check (and of course a secondary security check). The gate agent checked my passport, stamped my BP, and asked me to follow him. He took me to the front of the queue, put my BP into the BP reader, returned the BP to me, and showed me the door to the jet bridge.
It never happened to me before. I wonder whether this is something new CX is doing for DMs and F (and perhaps other) passengers on flights requiring passport check (and secondary security check). This was a nice touch, although I did not mind waiting in such a short line.
Is anyone aware of this new perk?

Thanks. This was my first time. I was not flying F. I never saw that before even for other passengers. So I was not aware of that.

it happened to me before too. I should be flying F, but I think my MPO DM number/status probably wasn't on my boarding pass.

It happened again. Four of us were flying J. We were pulled to the front of the line by a gate agent. After her colleague scanned our BPs, she led us to jump to the front of the F/J queue waiting for the secondary check (there were 15-20 people waiting for the secondary check in the F/J queue). I am still confused about that.

We were escorted to the front of the jetbridge secondary screening line when travelling F to JFK last week. The screening itself was very superficial and a complete waste of time.

No, we are not VIPs/CIPs - just one DM (me), one SL (my wife), and two AMs (our kids).

They were very thorough in our case. They even checked us very thoroughly - opened all bags and asked about anything.

Happened to me most of the time with an F boarding pass.
Usually now i stand about 5-10 m from the queue, hold my boarding pass with the red side visible and wait. Usually somebody walks over gets my boarding pass and escorts me to the entrance.
