G/con:

CX bag tags have an entry G/CON:x where x = B or C and possibly other letters.

I presume this relates to the condition of the bag (A= new, B= not so new, C= close to trashed, D= trashed etc etc) rather than the condition of the bag owner after a session in the Wing / Pier .

Can anyone identify why this is recorded on the bag tag? Secondly, if it is an arbitary assessment by the check-in agent, then there is plenty of room for interpretation given that my bag scored a B on one flight and a C on the next flight (next day).

My first indication of an OP Up on HKG-LHR the other day was when they tagged my bad and I noticed it said CLASS: J ^

And I thought you CX guys knew everything about CX! Maybe I'll just assume it relates to the condition of the bag and ask next time I check-in (and ask for an "A").
