As a general rule the wine is very similar to the business class offering onboard, but the specific wines seem to change quite a lot. The champagne is often Moet Brut NV or Lanson.

Actually, if you insist (a lot), they will show you a wine list. Otherwise, they will ask you "red or white" and make a blank face if you ask about the wines they are serving. But do not get excited, the wines on the long list are mediocre wines, not at all of F onboard quality (hardly J either). The answer I got earlier on the Forum is that a vast numbers of the F lounge are OW emerald not flying in F (or F pax flying on other OW airlines), so the catering/wines/champagne are not top class. As you know BA (and LH in *A) solved that problem by having both a F lounge (for OW emerald) with biz food/wines and a superior Concord lounge (with outstanding wine selection) for their own F pax. Maybe CX will do the same to better treat their F pax.
Very interesting. I'm sure that's why the quality of F drinks in the lounge isn't top rate. SQ has also segregated their true F pax from the riff-raff with the opening of The Private Room.
You've got to give QF credit for providing a true first class lounge experience to all pax(eligible ones, that is).
