CX MPO or QFF?

As I have qualified for GOLD MPO already (due to my DONE$) for the year I just wnat to know what options should I take in my up coming trip.

I foolishly forgot to ask the CSO @ HKG to remove my MPO on my HKG-AKL-MEL 2 weeks ago and my account at the moment has 71,000 Club Miles and my renewal date is Aug2005.

For this year I don't think I have anytime to do another DONE4, however I will be travelling in Domestic Australia for a lot of the time (However not in Full Y Class) Therefore these domestic trips I will definitely cr them to QF as I get Full SC and also minimum 1000 miles.

Should I (Assume i travel on CX and the above info):

1) book my up coming trip with my CX MPO# and then at check in tell them to remove it and then in Sep 2005 re-claim the miles so that it will be credited to the next Membership period.

2) start building my QFF and credit this trip to QF. At the moment I have 150SC and I need another 200SC to make Silver (= OW Ruby)

3) Should I just CR it to CX now and waste the potential Club Miles that might be needed next year?

Thanks

QF Silver doesn't really give you anything apart from extra miles when flying qantas. I would hold onto the boarding passes and have them credited after September (you can only back credit up to 6 months though).

I don't know if the QF staff will be as obliging as CX staff to remove the FF number from the booking at or after check-in. The only reason I say that is that QF staff in Australia are generally grumpy.

Stick with MPO

I think in the long run. MPO will always be better then QF?
In terms of service and chances of op-ups.
Any comment.
