Flyertalk inaccessible from HK?
Seems like Flyertalk has become inaccessible from HK starting today (30/3). Doesn't matter if you are using WiFi or data. The only way to reach it is by VPN.
Hopefully it's a temporary issue?

And what does this have to do with CX?
You do know there's a Technical Support and Feedback section, and this has been widely reported already right?

I had to try several countries on my VPN which also blocked access, until I finally could get access once through an Australian IP.
And FT members in Hong Kong are primarily concerned by CX forum. Hence, yes it is the likely place to ask if others people in this forum had the same problem.

Yes now only accessible with VPN. I think this happened temporarily a few years ago. I reported it to the webmaster. At least it means I dont check the thread posts as much as I cant be bothered to keep turning on VPN (eats my battery) and Im less exposed to threads such as the one about missed connections and alleged CX backroom conspiracies that is still very active.

With PureVPN, many countries are also blocked. For me Australia currently works.
This is the email I received from FT support by [email protected]
"Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately we have had to temporarily raise our network security, due to an ongoing web traffic surge, possibly caused by bots."
If many members from HK contact him, FT will work harder on this.
