Out of curiosity, why do you find 77K as a downgrade?

IMHO both the aircraft and the seat (at least in J) are better on the A350. The A350 has significantly lower cabin pressure and higher air humidity compared to the 777. As a result, I tend to arrive feeling much more rested.

I find the current iteration of the Cirrus J seats on the A350 far better too, especially with the increased legroom, both in the cubicle in front and on the side. On the 77K/77A, only the bulkhead seats have a wider footrest, and even there, there’s no additional space on the sides.

In Y, the 3-3-3 configuration on the A350 is far superior to the 3-4-3 layout on the 77K.

Other European routes:

MXP 77G
AMS 35K
CDG 359 (a bit surprising, might get updated)
ZRH 359
MAD 359

Hard to believe they will still put 359 to CDG and ZRH, CDG still had a 77A this summer, that would be big drop in capacity, used to be double daily 77A and 359 before covid
Mad had 35K last winter and it was often hard to get a seat in J last minute

I am also taking a flight from HKG to BKK next January, and for the updated winter schedule do 777 and A330 still have lie flat on this route? The seat map on my reserv shows 2-2-2 configuration.

Totally agree with you. The little enhancements CX made in their A350 J seats made a huge difference to my comfort when flying long haul :)

MAD frequency will increase from 3 weekly to 4 weekly, so I guess downgrading from 35J to 35G could still provide sufficient capacity.

may I know how you distinguish 359 vs 35K? CX timetable page from 1 or 2 month before (irritatingly) no longer shows 359 or 35K, only "A350".

im guessing one reason of CDG being A359 is because CX already updated it to a A359 in earlier months, when this route should have first class, and maybe CDG has less passengers in winter, not to mention fierce competition

another reason is 777 refits.

but as other posters pointed out, there are Australia flights being scheduled with 77A....if there is really 77A iinsufficiency, why still deploy them to AU while cut back CDG & LHR?

Ugh...thats lame...regional 330 with 121 seats got changed to 777 with 232 seats

Hate those 232 seating

Expert Flyer shows 359/351.

CDG is losing F?

BKK is part of the equipment roulette. They can swap equipment last minute so don't get your hopes up.

I'm guessing CDG has no F demand. I think it's the worst performing EU route for CX

I was on this flight two weeks ago, return HKG-CDG-HKG. CX261/260. 77A. Flight was full in all classes. Used BUG, and F full (6/6) both outbound and return. Just one data point, but looked very busy....

I am under the impression that F is in high demand but am not sure how many are outright revenue pax. In the past year or so, I don't think I've been on a flight where F isn't full.
