I only ever hear "beef or chicken?"

I like the ANA way of doing it:
JL and CX should emulate. |

The following issue has happened too often now. The flight attendants in Y, when passing out meals, only want to communicate with passengers as little as possible. There was one instance where the flight attendant just said "pasta" - what was written on the post-it note on the cart (which I could clearly see) was seafood pasta with lobster sauce. Another instance, from BKK to HKG, it was "vegetable curry". I did not see the post-it note. I took a gamble and went for it anyway - clearly it was Thai green curry pork with veggies over rice, and catered from Bangkok too ! Are they THAT lazy ?!

Though the crew knows some "keywords" are more popular than others and they sometimes need to say it differently to control inventory and promote the less popular options so they don't run out one of the choices too quickly. Not saying it must be the only reason and they could still phrase it better but sometimes it's not just about laziness.
