Help needed: Status Points for Cathay Code and Swiss Metal flight

I took a Cathay-coded and Swiss-operated flight between HKG and ZRH a few months back. When I requested missing mileage for the biz class manually, customer service gave me the correct flight mileage but 0 status points.

The services team replied that only Cathay Cathay-operated flights can earn status points which seems wrong to me. My understanding is as long as it's CX coded on 160 ticket stock, we can earn status points.

I tried to look up terms and conditions on CX website but had no luck. Does anyone has a hit where I can find terms for the status points on codeshare flight?

Thanks.

My marketing carrier was CX not LX. It was CX6633 HKG-ZRH.

Point taken, not a direct answer.

But I dont think the agent is wrong tho even if CX code Earning club miles/sectors by taking code share flight (a CX code on CA metal earns no status points)

My understanding is that Status points can only be earned if the flight is operated by a oneworld carrier, and marketed by the same or another oneworld carrier.

This is the CX website screenshot for CX6633 that operated by Swiss. The website clearly shows it earns 105 status points.

Customer service emailed me believing it's an error...

I can replicate what you see. This one’s on them
And you should have the status points, as manual adjustment

But
Getting through to someone in CX who will take this up will be difficult
They will go around in infinite loop explaining the original rules, and ignore their mistake

I don‘t imagine CAD will take this up, they’re not customer/passenger facing previously. I don’t think Travel Industry Authority will either, while redemption ticketing is a travel agent activity and must go through AMTSL, the status program cannot be labelled the same way

Edit 6:07AM - you might attempt to involve Customs, as a false trade description is applied https://www.ofca.gov.hk/filemanager/...let.pdf#page=2
