CX Oneworld liaison

I’m booked on Asia miles ticket from ORD to BLQ thru LHR on BA 294. BA wet leased that flight to air belgium and have sent out an email that I am eligible to change my flight. The one world guidance is outlined in the BA forum (https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/35374730-post38.html) and it’s clear I have to rebook thru Cathay.

I have called 3 times and no one is able to get a copy of the waiver in place by BA and they all do not know what the One world liaison is. Are there other options I should reach out to? Twitter/e-mail/specific call number etc?

Thanks in advance!

CX supervisors can speak to liaison. But you can’t get thru to them directly, nor to liaison.

Keep trying. Previously I would’ve suggested selecting “1” Cantonese and getting the agent to speak English, but nowadays they’re diverted to Guangzhou centre where agents aren’t too ready to do escalations.

The policy you cited originally came from https://tradeuk.custhelp.com/app/ans...tail/a_id/8993, and this is meant to be "for British Airways-125 ticketed customers" only. You are on a CX-160 ticket if this is an AM redemption. While you can ask CX to take the BA policy into consideration, ultimately this is CX's decision, and the BA policy does not apply.
brunos and DiamondMile like this.
