Yes.

Fyi how you booked the ticket doesn't matter for this, you've got a ticket on the plane. You're entitled to use in town checkin as are all pax (except ID / Z fares). As long as you go there when the hours are open! (I recall it's basically all day now).

I can't say in town checkin is very good anymore, a shadow of former glory. But that's a different thread.

Thanks. Looking at it as an option. Otherwise I may just take the luggage on the bus lol

Be aware that you need an Airport Express ticket to use ITCI.

Oh. Thanks. That puts my idea to an end. I was planing to take the bus. It’s right outside the hotel. But was contemplating just sending luggage ahead before a night flight so I can head to airport from anywhere without having to come back to the hotel.

Correct. Getting tired of saying ITCI is a MTR facility not a AAHK facility - it’s paid for as part of train fare not departure tax/facility charge. If you’ve a problem with that complain to Govt.

I guess you could theoretically just pay for the ticket and not use it if HKD 100 (ish - can't remember how much it is exactly) is how much you value not having to lug your bags around.

Apart from the Airport Express in-town check-in service in Hong Kong and Kowloon stations, another alternative is to pay HK$120 to check-in and drop off your luggage at Hong Kong West Kowloon high speed railway station, the LOHAS shopping centre in Tseung Kwan O or Trend Plaza in Tuen Mun. More information available on the Hong Kong International Airport website.

FWIW there is also SF Express' Door to plane or airport to door service.

I stand corrected: SQ didn’t resume ITCI

SQ says it's continue using to look at this. Great to see QF back, and pretty solid to be first the first-HK airline even though it has just two daily departures!
