The smoked salmon has been "enhanced" into smoked ham.
The self pour Piper Heidsieck Essential remains but misses the salmon...

IIRC, it is self pour beverages, so no CX Delight

The CX Narita Lounge is probably one of the most disappointing CX lounges.

While some FT members and frequent flyers know it's an ex-AA lounge, it's not really an excuse the level of lounge is way below any other CX lounges. If I were CX executives, I would be ashamed to put the brandname anywhere near the lounge. Anything from the food, drinks to the vibe just doesn't align with the CX brand.

I will be flying on JAL to / from NRT in early March and was hoping to visit the CX lounge as I found the JAL Sakura lounge quite crowded previously.

But based on the reviews so far it seems I should just stick it out with the Sakura lounge haha

Last time I decided to eat and drink in Sakura Lounge, and head to CX to rest/procrastinate. Resting in CX lounge is not the end of the world, but next time I probably would've stayed in Sakura lounge until boarding.

Sitting in the Lounge section of the Sakura at 5:20PM on a Tuesday, and it’s not even 10 people…it was less for the half hour before that. Previous was upstairs in the F Lounge, and it seems slightly busier, but still not crowded. The departure bank crowds should be here, but…

I think the food in Sakura lounge is actually worse than CX's. Anyway, why bother try out lounge food when the food is so amazing in Tokyo??

To be fair, while indeed far below average CX standard, the NRT lounge on its own is not that bad. In terms of comfort and food offering is on the same level with Sakura which is in JL's own hub.

So the CX lounge at Haneda is much better than the CX lounge at Narita (according to most accounts). Does anyone know if CX is planning to renovate their Narita lounge anytime soon? It now seems like the outlier among their self-operated lounges.

That was the plan as declared a few years ago. Don't know if this is still the case, but the stated and understandable intent was to give all CX lounges the same 'signature look', which actually began with Haneda in 2014.
