Membership Holiday Issues and experience

Hi everyone.

I would like to see if anyone has the experience of retro claiming back the flight status/club points when the flight was actually flown during the membership holiday and do the retro claim when the membership is resumed?

This trick does work in the past when I would like to put the club points into the next membership year rather than the current one. Don't know if it would work for membership holiday as well. Don't want to waste the status points as it is so hard to earn now. Haven't thought that the border opens all of a sudden.

Btw, I did fly JL with MPO GO in membership holiday and realised that the JL system still recognised I am a Sapphire and honour the Sapphire benefit. Maybe CX is the only carrier which will lock the Cathay Tier benefit.
