Credit card Asia Miles earning opportunities (HK) 2022

Renewed and new miles offers
BoC i-Card 10X ($1.5/am, cap $1,111.12/month)
HSBC 2% extra RC online (every 1% is $10/AM, so 2% is $5/AM, I’m not going to keep working out earn rate for each HSBC offer). This sits on top of ROYC 3.6% if your 6x (2.4%) is overseas and you’re using visa signature extra 3X (1.2%).
Mannings 680RC for $7,500 spend
Spoiler

Thanks. For BoC i-Card, is it 10x. I see the website has BoC i-Card (Virtual card) refreshed with 10x for 2022 but not yet for BoC i-Card.

Boc travel visa Signature

Does anyone know if the 8% cash rebate for the BOC travel visa Signature is renewed for 2022? The T&C on the website is still pointing to the 2021 version.

PrimeCredit no longer pays cashback on Octopus AAVS so what's the best option now - looks like SC Cathay card to me?

If you're going for cash back, then it's SC SimplyCash - 1.5%.

If you're going for Asia Miles, then it's SC CX - $6/mile.

Or you can get the Citi Prestige for more flexibility, $6 for 1 AM or 1 Avios.

How hard is it to get an annual fee waiver for the SC Simply Cash?

Do you have an account with SCB? Usually those with an account with some savings will get it waived. Payroll / premium or above will be automatic waiver.

If not, there doesn't seem to be a big problem with SC waiving your card even with minimal spend. As with many of these cards, depends on the CS agent that picks up your call. I wouldn't worry about not getting the waiver.

ah thanks very much. i do have a standard SCB account with a little bit of money in it (not a lot). maybe its worth a shot as it seems quite attractive to use versus the citi prestige

Wow. That Bank of China offer is incredible. Looks like they're going right for HSBC VS - long known in HK as the F&B card.

Regarding the WeChat promotion waiving handling fees for bill / tax payments using a UnionPay credit card (for details see the post in the 2021 thread), I can confirm that there is a daily transaction limit of HK$10,000 for bill / tax payments and a monthly limit of HK$100,000 (for users with advanced verification).

Would anyone be able to advise what the effective HKD / mile earn rate on overseas online purchases is under this offer for the HSBC Premier Mastercard, when combined with all eggs in the 'overseas' basket in the Red Hot Rewards of your choice?

Red Hot Online Spending Rewards:
https://www.redhotoffers.hsbc.com.hk...nding-rewards/

EDIT: and also what the quarterly spend cap is before it goes back to normal earning levels
