Studio KA and a Mac
Flew Cathay Dragon HKG to Busan yesterday with my Mac, hoping to watch some of the GOT episodes currently playing. Except that my Mac would not play anything (neither safari nor Chrome); even though I downloaded the "plugin" that the episodes demanded. The staff said "oh you have to download an app before boarding if you have an iPhone". I said it's not an iPhone, it's a computer and the laptop instructions say nothing about downloading stuff before boarding. Anyway it was a 3 hour flight so really irritating. Does anyone know if this is a "rule" on Studio KA or what?

Anyway, it's also one of the irritating parts on KA to watch a movie via StudioKA app. The inflight wifi for the system is always unstable.

EDIT - I just looked further down the link you provided. It clearly says there that a Mac is a laptop and can work using Safari and Chrome (and Firefox) - I had two of the three and it did not work. Thanks for the link. Shows what the crew said was wrong.

I just flew that and even on my Android Device and I have installed StudioKA prior to flight, I still need to uninstall and reinstall the version provided in flight.

I've used the iOS Safari to play Studio KA with no problem (as I don't have StudioKA installed on my Company's iPhone)... Maybe, just maybe, the MacOS Safari operates very differently as the iOS one... But what I want to say is, you really can use browser to watch StudioKA
