CX390/391 HKG-PEK seems to be operated by 77H/A most of the time, at least for the last and upcoming season
Edit: I actually think it is good to see so many 359 and 351 being rotated into NRT/KIX flights. The portion of reverse herringbone lie flat seat increases massively with the addition of PEY seats for redemption and opup from Y. Those NH 767 J seat is miles behind CX longhaul J, of course unless it get swapped out.......................

Haven't tried NH 789 J seat but personally prefer reverse herringbone layout. It seems NH is only offering the longhaul seat on its HND daytime flight? Their 767 has such an ancient IFE with no USB port no socket and everything that it feels like going back to the days where everyone was using Nokia / Blackberry. And the J seat is far from appealing. They are clearly suffering on KIX with intense competition from CX/HX so that they have to cut back service. They say they are resuming KIX service later with a 737......... By then, even HX offering is more appealing.

Not sure for the IFE though but this area is biased as a Hong Konger

who still uses ife? everyone i know has or share a netflix account of other streaming service. same applies to music.
the cutback is because of the 787 engine problem. but yeh, if you want a lh seat for a 4 hr (or less) flight, cx is the only one that may give you one.

AI guarantees flat bed too as it uses 788 all the time, as cheap as HX, but the delays...
back to CX F, only HND is guaranteed. NRT just random chances.

HX guarantees flat bed (although 172° if using 33S) and much cheaper but CX occasionally swaps to fake regional J, which is not appealing

as long as nh doesnt run a 737, it beats cx whatever frame cx use.
