Website vs App
Hmmm.. I downloaded the Cathay app on my iphone - No problems entering my confirmation number/name and having flight information show up. I go onto their website and do the same thing and it can't be found?

Usually on cx.com the best trick is to wait a while and try again, its probably the most unreliable website of a major corporation you'll ever encounter.
I gave up on the app very quickly. It never remembers my login details and you cant book multi city itineraries with it.

When I installed the app, I entered my details as Mr Saltire 74 (first name, last name). Once I had a booking, entered the PNR and last name and got the result back that no booking exists. Checked on the website and entered all details for my booking and no problems. On further inspection of the app, it had reversed my name so that I am Mr 74 Saltire.
Got it to say, this isn’t the first time where I have found that CX IT reverses names.

There is still something good about CX app.
When I fly Y on KA A333 3- class airplane, the last 3 rows of business class (row 16-18) seats can be pre-selected on app.
( KA offers these seats to elite members but still provides Y service)
However it couldn't be done on website.
