Help with MNL turnaround
I'm doing a MR JFK-HKG-MNL-HKG-JFK in PE over New Year's. I arrive at MNL January 1st at 00:10 on CX 905 departing that same day at 08:30 on CX 912. I'd like to just stay in the airport and relax in the CX lounge.
A few questions:
1. Can I get a BP for 912 at HKG on the 31st?
2. Can I skip Customs and immigration at MNL and just go through connections to the departures area?
3. Does the CX lounge really open at 02:00? (Check in for CX at MNL opens at 03:30 and there's not much OW flight activity overnight)
4. Any other tips? I've checked the turnaround threads.
Thanks All

If you have priority pass tbe skyview lounge is open 24 hours so you can stay there before the CX loinge opens. Never used it so cant tell if its good since I usually just use the CX or SQ lounges based on the airline I'm taking.

2 - i don't remember seeing an area for you to do connecting flights (airside) http://125.60.203.88/miaa/index.php?...id=7&Itemid=24 but i could be wrong.
3 - is i would assume dependent on item 1 and 2. If the answers to both is no, i'm not sure you can access the lounge at 2am. CX check in counters used to open at 2am before when they had the CX first flight out at 5am. Now that flights are a earliest at 6am CX932 (supposedly due to airport repairs), counters now at 3:30 am https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...l-airport.html
4 - aside from what was suggested, CX is on Manila's Terminal 3.
There is a 3rd Floor 'mall" (landside/after customs and immigration but right before you exit the doors) for groceries etc but i'm not sure if they are 24 hours. http://eye-in-the-blue-sky.blogspot....ex-dining.html
Right across Terminal 3 is Resorts World (casino and hotel complex) where there definitely are 24 hours amenities and fast food (7/11, Mcdo, etc). You can take the overbridge ("runway manila") http://primer.com.ph/blog/2017/05/12...ila-at-naia-3/ which drops you at the Belmont Hotel, which is part of the Resorts World complex.

I'm still hoping for more details about ability to get to airside departures without needing to go through C&I.

I will be flying into MNL-T3 before Christmas. If we don't hear from anyone else, i will take time to ask and snoop around and report back.

I think this is possible. you can request this in HKG.
I do recall the airport closes after the last flight arrives...so this is not possible.
Currently CX does not operate CX904 which used to depart at 5:05/5:15 instead the earliest flight out of Manila would be CX932 which departs at 6:30am, most likely the lounge will open about the same time as the check in counters.
I suggest getting a hotel across the street at ResortsWorld however unfortunately it is a bad time to do an overnight turn around in MNL as hotels would be book for NYE. Good Luck

I thought about that, but with an 8 hour turnaround minus C&I, security, transport to hotel, etc., I don't think it's worth it.

That's what I'm assuming. The good news is that I'll be getting Priority Pass membership in 2 weeks so I can use the Skyview lounge which is open 24 hours a day in T3. https://www.prioritypass.com/en/loun...0-3e6f9bba7588
T3 is connected via walkway to Resortsworld next door, unfortunately NYE is a busy time of the year and hotels might be running full.

I thought you can print out your own boarding pass / mobile boarding pass for flights departing Manila?

I got Priority Pass Select, so assuming I can go from the arrivals channel back to T3 departures I should be able to use the Skyview Lounge overnight. Another alternative I found is the Wings Transit Lounge which is landside in T3:

It's paid but pretty reasonably priced.
Still looking for any experiences with doing transfers or connections at MNL.

Hi Dudan!
sorry busy travel with my daughter.
Upon arrival at Terminal 3 there is a transfer section. This apparently skips you from entering Manila/Immigration (its at the left when you are facing the immigration line.
i alao asked the CX Lounge. They open at 3am irregardless.
let me know if this helps
