This seems odd since there are arrivals and departures scheduled throughout the night.

That's what I'm assuming. The good news is that I'll be getting Priority Pass membership in 2 weeks so I can use the Skyview lounge which is open 24 hours a day in T3.

I thought about that, but with an 8 hour turnaround minus C&I, security, transport to hotel, etc., I don't think it's worth it.
