CX ex HKG I Class Information
Anybody know where I can access ex-HKG to Europe I Class fare information?
I wanted a quote for my infant daughter - CX agent on the line thinks it should be 10% off a full fare (J?). I thought you could normally buy it at 10% of Class I fares.
I searched ita matrix and expertflyer but can't seem to even pull up any business class CX fares.

My understanding is also 10% J fare irrespective of what fare class the adult is flying... You may need to call the call center a few times and try asking different agent to see if there's any different answer...

Thanks actually I will HUACA.
Fwiw, last time I called for 2 or 3 yrs ago for infant Y, the agent insisted that infants could only be ticketed at 10pc of Y. Called again and managed to get it priced as 10pc of N.
Otherwise will be in touch with an agent - but would always be useful if you could see the underlying I fare conditions.

It's 25% of highest fare class HKG-Europe. Data point is 10 months ago, don't think anything has changed. At the time, wanted to book PEY and upgrade everyone. Also learned cannot upgrade infants.
So we ended up stuck in PEY, paying ~4.500 HKD (25% of highest fare which is around 16K) for the bassinet. Would think they will charge you 25% of J...interested to hear the result

No it seems to be 10% of full fare (that is what they quoted me).
Called my TA - they can't seem to price it in I
FWIW HUACA and called CX again - still priced off J (at that rate it is cheaper for me to redeem a ticket for them).
Biggest issue is I don't have an I fare basis to point to (which would normally say infants 10% of the said fare). Weird that they allow infants to price at 10% off I fare at outports though...
ah well looks like it can't really be done then...

I was def told 25% of J for Christmas trip to Europe last year. That's why I ended up with everyone in PEY. Maybe should have HUACA a couple more times

Maybe its different in PEY.
Probably will redeem Avios. it will cost me 99k (one adult + one infant) one way vz the 70k Asiamiles oneway (or 120k return). So I am paying 29k more points one way (worth US$290) so that my infant can fly.
I pulled up a CX PEY Fare (RRT) - not sure if its bookable. But infants are clearly stated as 10% of the fare (so would be c.US$535+taxes) - but i think you should get it slightly cheaper from CX

Anybody know where I can access ex-HKG to Europe I Class fare information?
I wanted a quote for my infant daughter - CX agent on the line thinks it should be 10% off a full fare (J?). I thought you could normally buy it at 10% of Class I fares.
I searched ita matrix and expertflyer but can't seem to even pull up any business class CX fares.
