Just a quick question, If the flight is looking almost full with limited seat selection "if your wanting to pay for seat selection or take a chance on on line check in ," What will the seat map look like once the online check in opens because i would imagine that all seats are allocated to all passengers once the booking is made , So will there be more choice of seat selection once online check in opens or will there be still limited choice. I am trying to make my mind up if to pay for seat selection or take a gamble on what CX have given me or hope that i have a better choice on check in

11 D/G are awful seats Avoid for any medium / long haul flights

What is the view of 42A I assume it's slightly back over the wing?

11DG (along with 12AK) are blocked for seat pre-selections, and usually blocked for OLCI selection as well.

Hmm, 19A just opened up.
Aerolopa says 19AK only has one window but this pic shows there are two? https://www.aerolopa.com/cx-35g https://thealviator.com/nitropack_st...3-800x600.jpeg Edit: Aerolopa has updated the map and added in the missing rear window |

19A/K have normal windows. I sit in them fairly regularly, including twice last week.

By the way, on 12-FEB-2026, I’ll be flying from LHR to HKG on a Boeing 777-300ER, and my seat is 11A. If you need any information for future reference, I’d be happy to share. |

Are you planning to take seat 19A? I’ve also booked 19A on my return flight from HKG to MAD on 01-MAR-2026. I booked the ticket about a month ago, and at that time 19A and 20A were the only window seats available but now all seats were booked.

Yep took 19A but might switch to 12A at check in if it's available.. For your HKG-MAD see if you can get a right (K) window as the sun will be coming in from the left... |

Many times on CX A350-900 J but first time in the small cabin... I booked last minute and got 20K (first row in the small cabin, window, starboard). I read above many scary messages that the passage of PEY and Y passengers to the toilet in the middle of the J section is continued and very burdensome... does everyone agree? BRU-HKG is a (sort of) day flight and 13 hours...
Unfortunately the whole first section is complete so I have no chance of changing seats, unless there is a change in someone's plans... Thanks! |
