Premium Fare deal thread to publish any good value premium fares that members find that are good for earning club points on CX.

These fares don't have to start in HKG, and they don't have to be on CX. You can position to other places in Asia / Europe, and this information can also be useful for members who don't live in HKG.

There is also a general FT Premium Fare deals forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premium-fare-deals-740/

Missed the F fare. Alas, took too long to think about it and should have just booked something when I first saw the fare.

Even to JFK it's just HK$25K......... Seems unbeatable.... Even transit in PVG by MU needs HK$26K... But extremely long flight...

Extremely looooooong flight = extremely large amount of club points & miles, and also easier to adjust time zone change.

Just checked... 26,504 miles + 270 club points.... In return you need 20 plus hours (depending on your transit time) to get to JFK......

Found this as I was investigating the HKG-SEA deal posted in the premium fares forum:

HKG-DFW-CLT-SEA-CLT-DFW-HKG - 270 club points, 29,896 miles for just under HK$17K

Sample GF fare for Dragonboat weekend

Seems to be pretty open on dates (I tried Dragonboat weekend and during the mid-autumn festival week and they both seem to be available). This was the shortest MR I could build (Friday afternoon departure, Tuesday afternoon return).

Malaysia Airlines fare deals are back again. Book by 14 Feb, for travel up to 31 May 2017.

$10k to Australia
$12k to London
$13k to Auckland

And for those willing to reposition to TPE:
TPE-DPS for under HKD 3000

I booked two of those MH deals (even rebooked a CX Y flight into MH J because, after cancellation fees, I still saved almost 2500HKD). I preferred the HKG-DPS flight to the TPE-DPS flight because the TPE ones require an overnight in KUL.

It also helps that the MH J flights (books into Z) credits well in the CX program.

Perhaps this kind of sale is beneficial to MH so much that they are doing in every (two) months.

But I can't find a way to get those fares to LHR.
It says 6,005 per way when you search dates, but it suddenly jumps to 10,070 when you select that date.

Try using google flights to find availability. I quite easily found a lot of dates that way eg 11-18 April trip.

Thanks.
My fault, I had forgotten that maximum stay is 30 days.
