Premium Fare deal thread to publish any good value premium fares that members find that are good for earning club points on CX.
These fares don't have to start in HKG, and they don't have to be on CX. You can position to other places in Asia / Europe, and this information can also be useful for members who don't live in HKG.
There is also a general FT Premium Fare deals forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premium-fare-deals-740/

I remember last year even companion fare to Australia was $13k, and a single fare was around $17k. At the new prices, they have a chance against QF in Y+ which has a better Y+ product than CX.

24 May 2016 | $104/tp | $24,031 | 230 | LHR-HKG-NRT-HKG-LHR| I/I/I/I | CX | Open - 3 month validity| Open| can stopover in HKG both inbound and outbound,
It's possible to add on a Tokyo weekend in conjunction with HKG return from LHR. Price includes tax and carrier surcharge. Even if based in HKG, if you make regular trips to UK and Tokyo, it's worth considering taking a postitioning flight to LHR and starting return journeys from there.

I know this isn't a premium fare and it only nets 10 TP and 25% AM but theres an A350 flash sale in Germany for the inauguration in September.
A lot of destinations (especially in China) EX DUS which go for exactly 350 Euros return.
Deal is valid until during September and November and bookable until end of June.
Even though it doesnt net anything its just probably the cheapest (non-mistake) fare I've ever seen for HKG and definitely CX!

Not sure if this is just a typical fare, but I thought it was good value.
AMS-HKG-TYO for HK$16,213/€1,856
Seems to be available well into 2017. Qatar often have similar priced fares or cheaper via DOH, but this seems to be a good fare for CX.

I think this idea has been around for a while, but with the changes to MPC, there are very few options, other than fly CX. I dont see any cheep options around to earn status like with BA, check out the CX website and investigate the earnings with which airlines you use..

Welcome to FT.
The answer is no for several reasons.
1. CX's program has just been changed this year. On the other hand, BA changes have been made for some time.
2. Generally (but not always) BA's fare is cheaper than CX.
3. All BA's revenue fare classes earn TPs. But not CX's revenue fare classes earn Club Points.
