Status always "closed" when redeeming QF flights

Status always "closed" when redeeming QF flights
I am thinking about flying HKG-NOU (and probably stopping at BNE for a few days), a direct search returns no result. Then I am trying to look for HKG-BNE then BNE-NOU flights which are operated by QF (because I am trying to avoid multi-carrier), and I've tried many different dates (some are almost 1 yr later), the QF098 (HKG-BNE) is always "Closed", but QF097 is available for some days, is this normal? And what actually does the "closed" mean here? They will never release a seat?
