I went for 11A on the 77W which is the HKG-SFO.
On SFO-HKG, I got 14K on the A359. So I guess a couple of rows behind the lavatory. |
A359 does not have seats at 11 A/K. Row 11 is strictly for the awful 11 D/G. The window seats start at row 12. I sit often in 12K on the A359 and I've never seen anyone seated at 11 D/G even on a packed flight. The seats aren't really in reverse herringbone configuration, they seem to face forward straight and the IFE is fixed to the wall in front. Truly awful seats.

Just completed my business class flight on an 35K, is it just me or are the seat motors really loud? I don’t ever recall hearing the seat motors on the 333’s or 77W’s. Throughout the flight, I kept on hearing a few of my neighbors (myself included) adjusting their seats - the 350 can’t be that quiet..

Which makes snoring passengers a real annoyance on the A350 series. |

Actually, I do have bad news for you: The seat motors aren't loud, the cabin is very quiet, compared to the 333 or (even worse) 777 loudness.

Which makes snoring passengers a real annoyance on the A350 series. Snoring passengers will always be an issue across all flights! I guess I just never realized the A350 is that quiet. At first I thought the motor sounds originate from the engines, but I subsequently discovered they are coming from the seat itself. |
Hopefully CX (and no other carriers) adopt this 10-abreast in an A350

How many more A350s is CX ordering?
|
The total order is 46 to date.
33 delivered with 2 more 1000's coming in the very near future. In fact B-LXL is probably on the way from Toulouse today or tomorrow. |
That has t9 be one of the largest A350 fleets I’m the world then. |

I just got back from flying roundtrips SFO to Hong Kong on their new A350 (CX893, CX892). I sat in the PEY section, in 30K on one flight and 31H on the way back. Overall, I like the new configured seats with foot rests in all PEYs. Although there are more leg room in 30K, the screen was way too far for me. For some reasons, I couldn't use the TV control for many functions, so I had to use the touch screen to control it and it became awkward at times (e.g. if you also put the seat back). I also didn't like that fact that I couldn't store anything in these bulkhead seats so I switched to 31H on the next flight. I did miss the lavatory specific for the PEY section in 777 (which I have flown many times before). I had to go all the way back to the Y section to use the lavatory and to go further to get the extra snacks and drinks. However, I would still take A350 over 777 if I have a choice.

I just booked the A359 SFO-HKG r/t because the flight timing is better than the 77W. Can you elaborate on why you like the A359? My main concern is the seat recline, which is supposed to be better on the A359, is that true? Is food & beverage selection the same in PEY as in Economy?
