The OP is not even an elite but loaded with miles from churning credit cards, a phenomena unique to US. Alas good time is coming to end now AA finally joins the devaluation party. Comes March 22, the CX F would cost 110K one way versus the current bargain of 67.5K. But there will still be one PJ! :p
Sadly I lack his flexibility. |

In his defence I would posit a miles redeemer with plenty of miles across different programs, plenty of flexibility and a willingness to experience different products will have more varied F experiences than a lot of people who's (work) is paying for it and/or is home city/airline centric.
Sadly I lack his flexibility. My long haul F experience is exclusively with CX thanks to multiple upgrades as my employers do not pay for it. So I am always curious to know how it stacks up against other airlines. My hunch is the hard product compares pretty well as I have yet to see another airline with a 1-1-1 layout in a 777. As for the soft product I have averaged 3-5 F long hauls a year and have not had a bad experience yet. However I have never asked for a 2nd set of pyjamas... |
OP..
i have several spare pairs of CX and pretty much other airline pajamas...i can send a spare set over :)) hopefully that will end this thread :)) |

One PJ per person on two leg flight? Too cheap. Asking didn`t yield another one... |

For SQ 12 SIN-LAX, SQ gives you two pajamas, one for the SIN-NRT leg and the other for NRT-LAX. However, given the difference of quality between the SQ and CX pajamas, I'd take one CX pair over two SQ ones any day!

ditto, the PYE PJs are arguably the best quality you can get of all the airlines.

Definitely my least favorite First Class experience - both lounges in HKG and in-flight (CX888) were very poor comparing to other airlines. Non-exciting airline with below average service. :td:
Just look at EK. You get a inflight amenity bag, PJs plus an unlimited supply of toiletries and real towels in the bathroom despite they are already included in the amenity bag. On CX, everything is rationed, such as DM-only burgers, precious bottles of Evian whereas on EK you have a whole minibar of the much more expensive Voss water to yourself. Same goes for JL, QR and SQ. The mentality of management of CX and some members here is to compare with the worst, not with the best, since CX is probably a B- student, it feels better to compare with a D/E/F grade student vs the A+s. |

Unfortunately you've picked the wrong forum to post as there are many defenders of the CX faith here despite they all know the CX F/J product is going down the drains quickly. The PYE PJs are heavily sponsored by PYE as a marketing tool and CX doesnt pay much for it. If CX has to foot the bill, I think you will get PJs made out of newspaper.

EK is a very good airline indeed, unless you get stuck on one of their slopey seated aircraft, or you forget your sunglasses. |

[..] Just look at EK. All 3 constituencies are all just as predictable as each other and, to me, all very tiring. |
wait OP came from USA? did he *discreetly* slip in a tip for an extra set of PJs? I'd thought the tip may easily change things - even if he wanted to take home a few bottles of Krug.
