"t-1" means the date before travel date? I would like to wait; however, my problem is that the original confirmed round-trip award ticket is for September outbound and October inbound, but now I want to waitlist the 5 October outbound and still have the confirmed October inbound. They only gave me up to 3 September to clear the waitlisting, which, per Percysmith's opinion that they would try to sell the seats first, I don't think my chance to get the waitlisting cleared by 3 September (one month prior to the 5 October travel date) is that optimistic, considering that available seats, if any, are usually released just a couple of days before the travel date.
