Reward seats availability
Hi guys,
I am currently looking for a business class upgrade with Asia Miles on the 9th of July as I intend to upgrade my premium economy ticket.
What are the odds that I will get a miles upgrade at some point, e.g. T-48, check in? I really desire a business class seat for that particular flight
I have sapphire status woth OW and a fully flex premium economy ticket, not sure if it helps...
Safe travel,
Dinge

Mileage upgrade usually expires about four days before flight (although I saw before I was still waitlisted when I checked in). You can keep checking your status until waitlist expires. You can still ask for an instant upgrade at check-in (assuming the miles are from you or someone on the same flight).

I is lowest J revenue bucket so CX has plenty of seats left.
Redemption seats don't show in EF.
Straight redemption seats can be seen on cathaypacific.com but none currently available.
Upgrade seats cannot be directly seen either in EF or cathaypacific.com.
Have to gamble on which flights will CX release J seats.
I'm no expert on LHR-HKG fares but since all flights are I9 (meaning the J seats aren't selling well - they will be making some J seats available for upgrade first and straight redemption later) I'll use E (lowest PE bucket) and K (lowest Y bucket) to tie-break - CX250 and CX256 look like your best bets.
