would this be an allowable redemption?
I have never booked a flight with stopovers before. I was hoping to book the following:
Clt to ord
Ord to hkg three nights in hong kong
Hkg to bkk two nights in Bangkok
Bkk to hkt final destination
Open jaw 7 nights
Rep to hkg
Hkg to ord two nights in Chicago
Ord to clt
Thanks for the help!

So,
CLT-xORD-oHKG-oBKK-HKT//REP-xHKG-oORD-CLT
where 'x' is a transit, 'o' a stopover and '//' an openjaw. oneworld multicarrier awards allow 5 stop overs, 2 transits & 2 open-jaws. You have 3 stopovers and 2 transits (HKT counts as an open jaw, not a stopover - so all good there. However you do need:
1) 2 oneworld carriers if CX or KA are not included
2) 3 oneworld carriers if CX or KA are included.
You fall under #2, and while there's been a discussion on this before, I think that using AA+CX+KA (for the REP-HKG leg) should pass muster. If not, escalate to an MPC supervisor while booking the ticket.
Your problem however, is the BKK-HKT segment - no oneworld carrier flies that. But that should be a cheap enough sector to just book:
CLT-xORD-oHKG-BKK//REP-xHKG-oORD-CLT
and while you're at it, you could add a couple of segments within the US at the end..
CLT-xORD-oHKG-BKK//REP-xHKG-oORD-oCLT-oXXX-oYYY-CLT
I think that you can use a stopover allowance as a transit if needed (or was it the other way around..either way, worth a try).

CX and KA are not regarded as two airlines for the purpose of counting "3 oneworld carriers if CX or KA are included.".
However, it can turn to be a OW-chart redemption if HKG-BKK is booked on RJ or UL. This will cost 95k in Y and 140k in J.
On the other hand, "CLT-xORD-oHKG-BKK//REP-xHKG-oORD-CLT" is a valid AM redemption with 2 transits and 2 stopovers and 1 open-jaw. It will cost 85k in Y and 145k in J.
Also once returning to the point of origin, i.e. CLT in this case, you cannot continue on with the same ticket. You can getaround this by flying into alternate airport, e.g. ATL.

LchChester - thanks for figuring that out - that it could be a valid AM redemption (& better value in Y)!!
gotta disagree about returning the the origin point - in the case of oneworld multicarrier awards - I have issued 3 tickets where the passenger(s) have returned to, and continued on, from the origin point.
