Waitlisting I class
Hi FT folks,
I have a confirmed booking BKK-LAX on CX I class and wanted to waitlist for a different date. I was told that its not possible to waitlist.
Does anyone know if that is correct or it was a matter of getting a different rep at the call centre.

that is very strange...i've waitlisted for I/D classes many times before. could be something new. Last time I've waitlisted was perhaps 1-2 months ago

the rep made that statement before I gave her the dates. Specifically i'm looking for CX 706/ CX882 on 8/9 Aug

If a waitlist is very long they may close the list as it's unlikely to clear which means no one else can be added but that doesn't make sense if you were told that before you said which flight/date.
The call centre when I tried yesterday was Phillippines based.
