Help! I have 240k Asia Miles - how can I find awards to NY

Help! I have 240k Asia Miles - how can I find awards to NY
I am new to the forum - but i have managed to accumulate about 240k Asia miles (some from Amex MR, some from flights). Would like to travel from Melbourne to NY for 2 on business class if possible. Is this possible with the award flights? Or may be I should keep accumulating points until I can?

Seems like MEL-SYD-JFK is the most available route in Business redemption. Good availability 330 days out.
SYD-JFK is QF107/8 with stop in JFK. I believe you have to enter US at LAX, but get back on the QF plane.

A quick check on MPC website Mileage Calculator:
MEL(QF)SYD(QF)JFK requires 175,000 Asia Miles for ONE J seat.
If OW J:
MEL(QF)HKG(CX)JFK(AA)LAX(BA)MEL only requires 160,000 Asia Miles.
But you still short of miles for TWO tickets & good luck.

For 240K, SYD-LAX in J(U) x 2 = 240K exactly. Buy the other sectors and enjoy J TPAC
