Lost Camera in CX F

Home insurance in HK. It covers loss worldwide.

Is the cleaning staff in HK not CX?

I've left my camera twice, once on F the other in J, both were returned to me even before reaching immigration. When I left it on my seat in F, the Senior Purser was the one who caught up with me even before I exited the air bridge.

Got off 807 at HKG last week. Walking briskly along towards transfer security when Ms. I, the cabin crew member who had been taking care of me, ran up behind me with an item I had left in the closet. Excellent service!!

I think the crew in F normally checks the closet and seats for anything passengers leave behind, it won't take long even if the plane is full since the most they need to check would be 9 seats. So I'm surprised OP didn't get his camera back not unless it got stuffed with the duvet.

Yes, I'm a bit disappointed that I never got it back having been in F. Thought about having Cathay reach out to the purser on the flight but i figured if they found anything, I would have already been contacted..

People should not assume that its the cleaning staff. Chances are that they already have an iPad !

In HKG, SIN, I find staff to be very honest and will hand over what ever items they find in seat pockets etc to CX. It could be that its lost in transit...

I left something on VS in Upper Class. Not a peep from VS Customer Service ...after my complaints.

I was on a PEN-HKG flight in J with my colleague. He left his ipad on the plane and realised 5 minutes after leaving the plane. Went straight back and the cleaners had already been on the plane and the staff could NOT find the ipad. Seems like the cleaners out of HKG may not be completely honest which is disappointing.

Not assuming base on their occupation or income level. But base on who would have had access to it. There's only so many possibilities (especially when OP was travelling at the front of the plane):
a) Other F pax
b) Cabin Crew / Pilot
c) Cleaning staff

In bagold's example, there IS the slight possibility that as Y/PEY pax were deplaning and quickly snagged it.

Lost Camera in CX F

Left my iPad on board CX729 arriving KUL on July 20th. Lodge missing report with CX baggage on July 21st 10am. By 2pm that day received a call from CX stating they found it.

Thank you CX!

Can your colleague brick it?
I always wonder why people steal iphones etc since they can be bricked. Or can you unbrick?
