Connecting on the same flight - is it possible?
I have a very "unsual" questions.
I am currently booked on CX712 SIN-BKK and CX702 BKK-HKG and very likely the ticket will be issued this way.
After ticketing (or even at the date of travel), can I ask it to be changed to CX 712 SIN-BKK and then CX712 BKK-HKG.
So I am connecting to the same flight, rather thana waiting for 5 hours for the next flight. Is it possible to do this, assuming the seat is avail?

Yes you can do that.
I've done the same SIN-BKK and BKK-HKG flight. Also done HKG-TPE and TPE-FUK on the same flight number. I've done same class and different class, award and revenue. I don't see any difference if yours is all on one ticket.
On both instances they were on separate tickets. No problem at all during check in. They will put a note in to notify the ground staff.
For example, at TPE I proceeded to get a "transit card" from the staff - as I thought I was transiting. But they saw my BP and told me that I'm not a transit passenger because my TPE-FUK was booked as a separate ticket - and didn't give me a transit card.
I'm not sure about your club sectors though. Mine were ok because they were on separate tickets. Not sure if yours would still count as two flights or just one.

I think it depends on when you are flying. The MCT is 75 min, and if you are flying now you are fine, but in the summer schedule that would be below MCT so not possible. Also don't know if your TKT allow changes so the best thing is to ticket the FLTs you want.

I need 3 more sectors to requalify as MPC sectors by April. So prefer to have 3 sectors for my HKG trip. The CX713 is actually available for direct flight from SIN to HKG, but since I have to fly to BKK anyway, I think I should make sure that I get 3 sectors. But this means i have to wait in bkk for almost 4 hours.

I've had a problem once where I was booked DEL-BKK-HKG on different flights...at DEL checkin, managed to change the BKK-HKG to be the same flight as DEL-BKK..however, got miles for DEL-HKG...wasn't fussed about miles sectors then, so don't remember what the end result of my request had been...

I travelled HKG-TPE-KIX and vv. on the same ticket and got Club sectors and miles for HKG-TPE, TPE-KIX separately.
I would say, since you paid fuel surcharge for each sector, you shall get separate Club miles. You get two separate boarding passes, and your seat is/can be different. Plus, your baggage tag should something like SIN-BKK-HKG as well.

If you are on 09FEB, it meets MCT requirement so you are fine. If you are ticketed as 2 segments and CX713 conx to CX713, then you should get 2 sectors. If you are booked on other FLTs and change it at the airport, you run into the risk of voluntarily change SIN-BKK-HKG to SIN-HKG, so I suggest you to book it as such. I've no idea about how ex-SIN fares work, so don't know if you can do that with M.
I still have a wait list on CX690 but seems hard to get clear since I am only a lowly SL. My TA advise me, once I ticketed on SINxBKK-HKG-SIN, if my wait list got confirmed and I want to take it, rerouting rule will kick in hence re-issuance is needed and I need to pay SGD150 + my agent fee.
CX has been extending another day for my ticket issuance to tomorrow. Looks like I probably have to stick with almost 4 hours connection flight and see if I can get any of my Thai friend come to airport and drive me nearby for some thai food early dinner

Just for the sake of another sector

Looks like not bad of an option! Given that this is sort of a MR after all ^

now the complication, cx has rejected my dxb-kul flight with reason "We are unable to find your membership name on the flight passenger list." so without this mh flight even with sin-bkk-hkg i still short 1,25 sectors
