Converting to CX miles

Hi folks,

Just hoping someone can check my logic here. My wife has 110K Avion points, and I'm considering an Amex Platinum card, with the 50K bonus.

Any reason we can't transfer both her Avion and my Amex points into the same Asia miles account, and use the combined total to book flights?

Thanks!

reason not: Asiamiles T&C says no, and your respective card T&C should also say no. But i'll keep it there

some things are not meant to be said

Hi, my friend's wife tried to transfer her Amex points to his BA Avios account, but not only the transfer didnt happen, but they actually transferred it to her Avios account (they credited to right account number based on address). So that may happen with Asia miles too.
IMHO use transfer the Avion points to AA instead (check out userbcpoints.com), as they dont charge Fuel surcharge on CX flights, and keep your Amex points for other use.
Or transfer her Avion to BA Avios, your Amex MR to Avios too (link both accounts as family account) as then you can use them together.
