Is this Normal/ Something Event going on?

Have been using expert flyer for about 6 months now, never seen it like this, 2 weeks out and absolutely fully booked. the 2 other flights on sep27th to LAX are the same. Is there something going on? If not my chances of an upgrade by using my miles is basically -100%

While I wouldn't call it a super high peak holiday...but Sept 27 does run into being the Friday before October 1, a national holiday in China where it's not uncommon for workers to get 1-2 weeks off. So it's not that surprisingly the particular flight is full...

Well, for one thing Expert Flyer is not always accurate, so you got that working for you. I have been on a flight with plenty of seats left when it shows all 0s. I have also been op-up when Expert Flyer shows 9s down to L class, so to me Expert Flyer is a good reference guide, but not 100% accurate.

As for mileage upgrade, you can still request to be put on waitlist, like I said, it's not completely 100% accurate, and also, you might get lucky that there are no shows in the cabin you want to upgrade to.

EF is as accurate as the info given to SABRE by CX.

It's a problem of POS. Availability could change depending on the POS.

Is definitely Oct1, I checked flights to Australia, London, etc... All the popular destination all fully booked. Going to put a big reminder on my calendar for next year.
