No-one seems to have asked the two glaringly obvious questions, which are (i) who is Cathy, and (ii) why would she be offering hotel accommodation to people?

s for hotel accommodation for transit passengers? Reply to Thread
You arrive HKG at 0500. Departing at 0130 the next day.
I thought your whole purpose was to 'transit'/stopover at Hong Kong and "have some fun". If you exclude time for immigration, commute, luggage (if any) etc....you only have a little more than 13 hours to explore the city. Not a whole lot, but definitely enough for you to cover some key parts of Hong Kong if this is your first time visiting.
Or was your definition of "fun" aka arriving HKG at 5am, crash into a free hotel room provided by CX at 7am...and sleep till 7pm prior to your next flight??

maybe I need an hour so I'll get out of the airport by 6am or maximum 6:30 and that's why I need hotel just to rest few hours until 10 or 11 maximum 2 o'clock
then I'm planing to explore the city until 10pm and hv some fun clubing or gettin some massage with extra serves and this also one more reason for looking for a hotel
whatever I hv booked a room on my own and I'll see what will happen in the airport if they give I'll cancel it if not i'll check in

thnx 4 u again if u hv any Idea about Hong Kong like some interesting places or activities wish u post it
u hv'nt recognize it from my bad English
?I'm an Arabic guy from Saudi Arabia

I suspected that was the schedule you booked...obviously, from the screen shot you took, you passed on three earlier flights that would've gotten you to KUL plenty earlier
. So this long, extended "transit" is pretty much completely of your own making. You might've had a slightly stronger case if everything else was sold out, but it wasn't.
Yes Jeddah has a stopover in DXB but you're not getting around that on CX so it's kinda a moot point. It's not a non-stop flight.
The way I see it, you've actually got a pretty awesome flight and schedule here. Although CX won't pay for your accommodations, HKG is one of the coolest cities in the world and you've got an awesome opportunity to go tool around the city or see the sights for a full day. It's a great schedule you picked. Tiring? Yea probably. But a really awesome opportunity without having to buy two tickets. Great deal if you ask me. You'll arrive in KUL early morning and can do your meetings/see family/go home whatever with a full day in front of you.

u made more excited for booking it . Thanx a lot my dear =)actually I don't care anymore do they provide it or not I already booked a hotel room on my own but if they pay 4 it what would be better
However I dont hv any fixed date so I think I'll late to book that one , As I saw all the prices is same until 31 of oct
And yes maybe it would be long journey and tiring but don't worry I had many flights like this one I really enjoy it even if I got tired I also will enter DXB if what possible its really great opportunity as u said

Thanx a lot again for ur helpful replied I really appreciate it .
Just If u know any interesting places or activities wish u tell me

for me If I like it then I'll planing 2 visit again .one more thing dont forget also that the ppl who r planing 2 enter the country r going 2 buy some gift and other stuff , a place like Hong Kong I'm pretty sure is rich with many remarkable stuff selling out there ^^

Flights from SIN/LHR/the US/are coming in.
And, there is a $120 airport tax as connection is more than one calendar day.

Cathay Pacific will provide a room for an overnight stay ONLY when there is no immediate connecting flight to your destination. If there is and you choose another flight, you do not get the free stay.
Back in the days when there are fewer choices, CX would provide STPC for connecting passengers from Asia to the then one flight to YVR or SFO. But now with connections timed accordingly and higher frequencies , there are very few flights that offer the free stay. But they still do exist. The hotels used to be in and around Kowloon area. But now CX uses one hotel in Tsing Yi.

So, you book an extended stopover and expect the airline to provide you with a free hotel room so you can entertain a prostitute. Charming.
