I will be connecting through HKG from Garuda to CX 840. My connection time will be 115 minutes. I will have checked bags with me but it looks like I can check them through from DPS since Cathay has an Interline Agreement with Garuda. So my question is whether the 115 minute connection time is suufficent at HKG. If it matters I will be in J Class on Garuda and FC on Cathay. Also if anyone can provide any information on the HKG connection process that will also be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

If I remember correctly, MCT for a CX to CX connection is 50 minutes and CX-other connections are 60 minutes at HKG. So 115 minutes is way more than you need, you should have no problem with baggage in that time frame.
Garuda flights are in T1 at HKG which is the same terminal as CX. My guess is that Garuda won't print your boarding pass for CX. Head to transfer area E2, find the CX ticket counter, get a boarding pass for your flight, then head through security and go upstairs to your gate.
All of that should only take a few minutes and you should have plenty of time all around, assuming your inbound is on time.
