Yes. I've been given Krug twice. In 10 years.. Its rare but does happen.

I received Krug on 2 separate occasions. One was on my birthday. The other was when there was an equipment malfunction. I've also received Lynch Bages.

Unless you have a diamond plus or invitation card , it may be better to ask the ISM. I would imagine it would be awkward and embarrassing for the cabin crew. You could also downgrade to business class and buy a case or two with the fare difference and maybe invite the cabin crew to your birthday party to celebrate.

Krug is widely available in HK. BTW, its not a gift if you have to ask for it.

It's happened to me twice, both on 884 HKG-LAX when I was the only F pax. Towards the end of the flight, a cabin crew member came over and said that she could see that I really enjoy it, and that the crew wanted me to have the bottle.

not that high. i have seen the stuff get discounted for sub 100 in the US...perhaps a few years ago i bought several bottles for 99US$ at ABC liquor in Florida....i recall at the store on Michigan Av. if you really want the stuff, just hunt around...i doubt you will pay 200 per...heck, i bought the 89 Krug in a magnum at the LCBO of all places for 249...well, my wife did...:D perhaps a price error but not so sure since stores have to turn over inventory for new stuff so even though a new NV comes in, the old has to move.

Not anymore. It is around 200USD ish. I am talking about the NV. Even in France is not that cheap.

Actually, cant you stay dry and say you need to drive but would love some to enjoy with wifey at home? ;) depending on how old your kids are, the utilization of krug may be "pretty low"

sorry, and i have bought 90 krug for under 250 from a store in Calgary. in fact, i have a picture with my wife and i AT krug in front of the 90s aging from 2003...boy were the caves a relieve during that summer...

price error or not, my mag of 89 is still chilling away with the cheap 90s and the ubber cheap NV stuff...

but if you want to pay 200, by all means do so.

[I just checked your link, you posted something that is 105pounds or US$167 based on fx....yikes...still, not as cheap as you can get and IMO, given how much CX buys, setting aside duties etc....my 2 cents, but I bet you they are paying 75 bucks US$ per bottle]
