Lounge trash...
@ the CX lounge in Concourse G , in BKK .
Packed! Some tables were empty, but trash everywhere! Counters running out of cutlery, cups and plates cos they're all on the tables and computer stations.
There's a guy at the computer terminal talking at th top of his voice, oblivious to the others around him.
Then there's the other 'trash'... One girl filled a soup bowl with water. Took a sip , thn found a cup. Poured the water out, but put the bowl back where she took it. So I told her to put it back on the counter. She stared at me. So I did it for her and told her that for hygienic purposes, it's best left on the counter. She seemed upset. Really? What happened to common sense?
Thn there's the 'group'... Loud, loud, loud hoarding the tables and chairs with all their shopping. There's only 3 of them...taking up space for 6!
Sigh...

I can't remember if it's this one or the other one (there are two in BKK, or used to be?), but definitely ranks as one of the more disappointing CX-operated lounges. Although at least not quite as bad as MNL. I've been fortunate a.) mostly I'm flying out of BKK at times when the BA/QF lounge is open; and b.) I have OWS to access it.

The G lounge was a hot mess earlier this morning too. I waited at the from desk for five minutes because there wa no attendant. Mess was already there - but I blame all the American tourists.

CX's BKK and SIN lounges are the most disappointing. For SIN, it is shared lounge with other carriers and its a JV with CIAS (dnata) whereas, the BKK lounge can be very untidy when you have sub-continent flights and with kids running all over the place.
At these two ports, I use QF/BA lounges when possible (based on opening times).

BKK: I just head to the 'newer' Priority Pass lounge (Louis Tavern?) that is a bit beyond the CX/BA lounges in that order on concourse G (i think). Much nicer, practically empty each time i've been there, very fast wifi, and okay-ish food.
SIN: The QF lounge is pretty decent, though i think that the FC section will be closing down in due course. Also within the skyview lounge, the 'additional seating' section up a small flight of steps is, relatively, much nicer and quieter than the general area.

In BKK, if I have enough time to use the lounge to relax, I generally prefer to get a foot massage instead.
I used to do a lot of transit via BKK for travel to India but now with CX/KA rapidly adding destinations, I see my transit travel to BKK being eliminated. And whatever destinations CX doesn't service, my business will now go to MH once it joins OW, instead of TG.

I was at the G lounge. I should have stayed at the other one which always seemed quieter but as my flight was leaving from G3 today, I thought I would go to the G lounge.
Edit : Guess who ended seated next to me? Mr "Loud-on-the-phone" !
