QF is going to forgo their F lounge in SIN and talks are that BA will open their own F lounge... and their own times. CX passengers have never been able to use QF lounge due to their evening opening times.

Except that the QF/BA lounge is at the opposite end of T1 (B gates) and CX flights usually depart from C gates.

There will still be flights to CMB and KHI. I've been on the KHI flight numerous times and you should see the amount of liquor some of them drink before the flight. Oh, and it continues when they're inflight until we are about to land in Karachi.

Didn't you know CX does fly from SIN to Colombo and Hong Kong in the evening as well!

The QF/BA lounges open just in the afternoon (1500, says the website) - making them unusable for CX 650/710/736/690/712.
GB's point about the location is spot on - the only times that i've been to QF's lounge has been before CX711, given that i dont usually get to Changi too long before my flights, making the 'C' gates location of the QF lounges a tad inconvenient for CX's 'D' gates. (except 711, for which i end up waiting a bit given the small gap after my work-day).
Fairly certain that GB would know CX's sched like the back of his palm (even though he got the B/C/D gates wrong
)

..correct. I was just on CX690 a few weeks ago, and indeed the QF lounge is closed during that time. A sign was hung on the door with the hours indicating a 3pm opening, as it sounds like their website says as well. Some time back (maybe last year?) I do recall using the QF lounge midday, but as correctioncx notes the applicable QF/BA flights seem to have been cancelled.

The vibe on the flights to SIN that continue onto Colombo are interesting to say the least in comparison to other routes on CX's network. To do with alcohol?

Dont get me started on the DEL flights, especially the BKK-DEL segment (apparently a popular segment with the 'courier' crowd).
And this from an Indian, from around DEL. (and one who hates Whisky+Soda for the most part).
I dont normally ring the service call button, but once i did, the FA turned up with a whisky+soda, when i had actually needed help with the IFE. (This was in Y). One other time in J, the lead FA was quite surprised that I did not want JW Black Label + Soda for my pre-meal drink order. And the sight of tray upon tray of Whisky+Soda being prepped first thing after the seatbelt sign went off was quite something...

from the Cathay website below
someone should tell CX they no longer have an F lounge in Bangkok
I remember they used to have an F and a C lounge opposite each other
Then the F lounge moved to the other concourse and became a C lounge also
The C presumably stands for Cr-p
and the food is on a par with Taipei F lounge for quality
Lounge
Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge Bangkok
Concourse G, 3rd floor

If the lounge is too messy for a J passenger, I can imagine how a F passenger feels. Fortunately there is almost no F service on this route.

The thread must've done the trick, I was here yesterday (evening, 8PM onwards) and the lounge had been just cleaned. They were closed for cleaning between 1900 and 2000.
Back here again this morning, and the staff is rather prompt in clearing away the tables. I do have a bone to pick though, re absence of showers and toilets! Had to make do with the Sakura lounge for a quick shower this morning after arriving from CMB.
