Only up to four weeks in advance k3nnis - very hard to get award seats any more in advance. Unless
u get DM by Amex cent or otherwise and have them turn release seats

Ok thanks. yeah I should have mentioned if you are happy to book at late notice then CX J on that route is fine about a month out even without status.

Can I ask, if you have Diamond or even Gold do they release seats way out in advance for you ?

Haha... SYD-HKG is just an example to show the difference between MPC/AA and QFF... nobody in my company just wants to go to HKG to have a holiday. It's a fact that it's cheaper to redeem their CX J seats to Europe than QF J seats via Singapore (or soon Dubai) and due to their Amex DM status they are accessing a DM-only redemption inventory.

Diamond - maybe.

Gold? - oh who do you think you are? Nah, it didn't happen to me at least - maybe I am not pushy enough.

Gold - no

Diamond - used to http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...-diamonds.html
But recently there's been some problems with this unpublished benefit http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...n-u-class.html - not 100% sure of latest status.

That's a great idea. Let us know what you think of the lovely CX mileage burn rates.

Oh yeah. You Amex DMs are moving in with hundreds of thousands to millions in MR. With Amex DM you might even get revenue seats converted to rewards seats. This is the gift that just keeps giving.

If Allvest has enough MR to turn into enough AM for a tix, his MR has appreciated, not depreciated. Our AM has depreciated.

Mileage burn is not as efficient as Aeroplan in F, but intra Asia is not too bad. Companion awards are alright though.

My Asiamilea come from miscellaneous non-Caanadian cc programs. Unless there is an insane promo I doubt I would turn Amex Canada MR into Asiamiles.

It is a personal choice whether to send a letter to CX. The thread is starting to get emotional. I removed some posts and am closing it down.
