Here is my situation, I have 34000 asiamiles in my account which expire on july 31st, also 2 of my family members have 10000 miles each in their account which also expire on july 31st. My plan is to book one way economy ticket from lax-bom for early october.
My question is what will be the taxes for the ticket. I want to do the math to see if the ticket saves me some money or not. I gather from the asiamiles website that the cost to transfer 10000 miles is $170. So I will have to pay $340 for the transfer charges plus the cost of buying 1000 miles plus taxes.
Any advice.....
