My question is what will be the taxes for the ticket. I want to do the math to see if the ticket saves me some money or not. I gather from the asiamiles website that the cost to transfer 10000 miles is $170. So I will have to pay $340 for the transfer charges plus the cost of buying 1000 miles plus taxes.
Any advice.....
The cost of YQ and Tax is pretty easy : Do a dummy booking on cathaypacific.com and the tax + fuel surcharge will be the one you got charged.
