Can you report back and let us know if the miles indeed do not post within the next 2 days or so? Last time my mom tried that and the miles still posted, even though the membership number is not seen on the BP.

I am pretty sure it will not post because the ISM came by and asked me to sign up for MPO, but we'll see.

Thanks, Ernest, you're always a wealth of knowledge!

How exactly did you remove your number at the gate? Since the CSOs all know and this is no longer a "trick", can you just flat out request for this at the gate prior to boarding? Is there any particular thing to say, i.e. do you have to explain your situation? What if they wouldn't let you take it off?

If u remove at gate there is a chance the miles will post as when they close the flight some docs had your mpo number and it might get picked up anyway. Best to remove it before the gate when u know won't get any opup. If u require special attention as DM umcan ask them to include it in the crew remarks or just tell the ISM you are DM

flown TPE-HKG-SYD on 5 JUL, asked the TPE gate agent to remove the CX MPC, so far the miles have not been posted! both BPs show "0000000000 CXFFP" (10 zeros)

QF SYD lounge agent was happy to remove my MPC number prior a QF's flight. it shows completely blank at the "service information"

it's about 1.5 weeks now and no miles have been posted so i guess it worked for me.

Well I spoke too soon. The sector from MNL to HKG was posted. Nothing much can be done now. However, HKG to YVR was not. I called MPO and confirmed it is not shown in their system.

When I made the request with the CSO, I just told her I have already earned enough sectors and would like to credit it in the new membership year. They were all happy to comply.
