Experience the new Business Class seat

Cathay Pacific New Business Class Roadshow

The new Business Class seats that have everyone talking will be on display this month at the Cathay Pacific New Business Class Roadshow. The Roadshow will be held between 12 and 18 May 2011 and will be open daily from 11:00am to 9:00pm at Level 1, Oval Atrium, ifc mall, Central. Come and experience our new Business Class seats and interior decor, as well as the latest travel technologies and our new airport lounges designed to make your travel experience more convenient and comfortable. You’ll also meet members of our team who always go the extra mile to make you feel special.

To be one of the first in line to try out the new seat, simply present your Marco Polo Club membership card at the roadshow. This offer is exclusive to Silver and above members based in Hong Kong. Please note that there will be private functions held between 5-6pm on 12, 16 to 18 May 2011, therefore we kindly ask that you schedule a visit to the roadshow at a more convenient time.

This was also advertised in Post Magazine today so I have no idea why it's being billed as a Silver and above only event.

The wording is a little misleading, but since it is a public event I think when they say "be one of the first in line" they mean you can cut the queue by flashing your MPC card.

When they last ran the road show for the current F/J/Y seats and were in the same place in IFC, there was not a crowd control issue and in fact it was open to the general public. They want to make it appear exclusive for marketing purpose it sounds like.

This time it says 'Simply leave us your business card and you can try our new Business Class seat'.

And there's a lucky draw for HKG-SYD J class tickets for 2 - the best prize I've seen in years I guess. You have once chance for leaving a business card, one chance for showing your downloaded CX-Mobile apps, one chance for checking in the event on Facebook.

I did the road show on the previous CX seat rollout in San Francisco. It really screwed up my perception of flying on AA with their generations old new J seat.

I walked past the exhibition at IFC at lunch time. It seems there are only 2 sample seats for visitors to try on. It appears that the exhibition is opened for public but there is a priority line, pressumably for MPC SLs and above.

Perhaps a small gathering for HK-based forum members there?

I will be in HK for the weekend and will be there just to try it out. Didn't have the opportunity to try during the launch last year due to the long queue.
Anyone else is going??

Can anyone post detailed pics of what the new renovated lounge will look like? Based on the pictures on the CX facebook page, there is a section in the roadshow that models the completed new lounge look.

6 days only? Looks like I'm just going to miss it (coming back night of 18th), how unfortunate...
