When they last ran the road show for the current F/J/Y seats and were in the same place in IFC, there was not a crowd control issue and in fact it was open to the general public. They want to make it appear exclusive for marketing purpose it sounds like.

This time it says 'Simply leave us your business card and you can try our new Business Class seat'. And there's a lucky draw for HKG-SYD J class tickets for 2 - the best prize I've seen in years I guess. I did the road show on the previous CX seat rollout in San Francisco. It really screwed up my perception of flying on AA with their generations old new J seat.

I walked past the exhibition at IFC at lunch time. It seems there are only 2 sample seats for visitors to try on. It appears that the exhibition is opened for public but there is a priority line, pressumably for MPC SLs and above.
Perhaps a small gathering for HK-based forum members there? |
I will be in HK for the weekend and will be there just to try it out. Didn't have the opportunity to try during the launch last year due to the long queue.

Can anyone post detailed pics of what the new renovated lounge will look like? Based on the pictures on the CX facebook page, there is a section in the roadshow that models the completed new lounge look.
