No worries. Simple supply and demand. F lounge has significantly less foot traffic. A WING/PIER F-lounges is more than enough. J lounges are WING/PIER/CABIN/G16. Sounds good to me.

Is there any confirmation that the Wing will be undergoing a renovation? Would this mean that the only F option will be at the Pier during renovation? I can only imagine how packed the Cabin and Pier lounges will be if that is the case. Granted, I am all for updates and the Wing hasn't changed in what, 10, 12 years? I just hope that it can be done quickly and the update will be worth the inconvenience...

Ditto for my experience for the midnight flights. Back in May prior to boarding CX872, the wait for the Cabana was so long that we just gave up at the end.

As posted up thread in post 53, there is a message from CX confirming the remodel of The Wing in phases. http://theclub.cathaypacific.com/dbm...id=CX16AE1009]

And that leaves the rest of the day pretty "uncrowded". Why significantly expand a lounge when it's not crowded for most of the day? The J lounge is pretty bad because most of the day it's 75% full and on busy times you literally can't find a place to sit.

You should be able to access The Cabin presuming that standard OW entry rules will apply. That said, the new QF J lounge is very nice - lots of room, and good drink selection.
