DM flying BA
Have any Diamonds had any problems using BA lounges in LHR, my friend claims he was literally turfed out of Galleries and told no way to use F lounge flying Club World with BA. I have to mention he has a seriously hard time keeping his mouth shut and was born with a bloody big silver spoon in his mouth and expects everybody to know who he is

You will not be able to use Concorde Room which is for the speical ones to BA only. As DM you can use Galleries First lounge. Make sure your membership number on the boarding pass. I wonder if your friend confused the First with Concorde Room...

He said the Galleries though. That should not be an issue. Often BA lounge agents require the passenger to show his/her FF current card regardless of what is on the BP. Would that be the issue?

No Concorde room but 1st class lounge access OK. Two of us, Diamonds, were traveling with someone on 1st class and he was allowed one guest - BA would not make an exception so the 3 of us could go into the Concorde room for less than 1 hour.
I wish CX would treat BA Golds in a similar fashion in HK, no access to cabanas for example.
On a RTW itinerary every BA flight was of mediocre quality. Their intra Europe business class is a joke, and the long haul had lousy service and lousy food.

BA makes you show your card even if you have your status printed on their boarding pass. Something to do with the fact their system allows freeform entry into thy field so they can't trust it.

Never Problem with Club Europe flights, over 20, or 30 times ?, I don't remember.
But a receptionist always requires a membership card with Emerald status.

Maybe you should change friends...
BA plays it by the book, so there is no way they would turn down a CX DM at the F lounge if he/she is flying BA, even in Y. But they do require all pax (BAEC, MPC or others) to show their cards. If you do not have it and are a BAEC Gold, the lounge dragon can check it in their computer system, but not sure that they can do it for CX DMs.
Galleries lounges (J & F) at T5 are wide open to any OW saphire or emerald. At T3, the situation is a bit more jammed, and there is a J and F CX lounge. So if you are flying CX, BA might be using the excuse of capacity to turn down a CX DM at its BA galleries and send him to the CX lounges. But if you fly BA, then they cannot use that excuse.

OK seems he tried to swan into the Concorde room and knowing him he would have engaged mouth well before brain even got into gear. He ended up in a lounge and I guess he was in Galleries. I agree I wish CX were more strict with BA members using F facilities in HKG. I do fly a lot on BA out of T5 and have never been asked to show my card as my BP always has my details on it. I also think BA biz class is way better for comfort than CX.

CCR is a magnificent lounge only in the league of the FCT lounges in Germany and Premire lounge in Paris in terms of offering.

I recently heard some BA pax being turned away from the CX Wing and asked to go to the BA lounge due to space constraints. It was busy inside, but not completely packed. This was post-volcano as well.
