50,000 after $3,000 spend:
https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/travel-and-miles/

Capital One usually does a hard pull with all three credit bureaus.
If you have a security freeze on your report, they generally will not allow you to submit a code for this report to be viewable.

If you've held this card before, it looks like you can get this bonus again. Data points: 1, 2. YMMV

New user here ... I currently have the Capital One Quicksilver card, but I don't use it very often due to better alternatives (Citi Double Cash, BoA Travel Rewards). However, the new Premier Dining Rewards card looks interesting as it pays 3% on all dining without an annual fee.

I'd prefer not to apply for another new card at this time (3 new cards in the last month), so should I be able to get Capital One to product change me to the Premier Dining Rewards?

New User but long time lurker. I was able to redeem points for an Alaska Airlines gift card. Had to call in and it took about a week for the reimbursement to show up.

I also was able to get my annual fee waived (no spend in the last year) by asking whether I needed to use all my points before closing out the account. The CSR asked me if I would be interested in a fee waiver.

Data point: used a targeted mailer for 50K/3K/3mo that was addressed to somebody else. Didn't need to know their name or any of their PII -- just the application codes (16 + 6 digit numbers). Approved!

Will be my first CapOne card, though I'm at like 40/24 overall.

Question Premier Dining Rewards Card: opinion needed.

This card looks great, I like Capital One and rather have cash back, rather than "in-program miles".
As show above the card pays 3% on dining, but also 2% on Gas & Groceries!!

So what is the general opinion of this new card, is it worth getting and how hard is approval?

It may have been mentioned in other posts, I wanted to update.

Contactless/tap is now standard on QS (NOT QSOne) 1.5% rebate programs for both Visa and MC versions. If you can't wait until renewal, you can call to have one sent to you at no charge (no account number change).

QS/QSOne hasn't had anything to replace the Uber promo, but has started a Spotify thing:
https://www.spotify.com/us/capitalone/

The new Premier card mentioned above is really great for overseas use (already enough domestic ones with 3% or more on dining and 2% or more on groceries) because that extra MC 1% fee is not charged either. I am not seeing the 2% gas option. It does not have tap and is usually a WE MC (which was rare except for a few WE MC QS cards given to select holders).

No product switch is available as yet to the Premier Dining card, and it appears you are limited to 5 accounts at CapitalOne. I still have a bunch from HSBC days that I am keeping, but would like to do some product switches if possible. There is a decent apply bonus, but I am hoping it becomes available for product changes eventually.

Me too, hoping to be able to product change to the Premier dining and grocery card - the fact that it has no AF and a WE with real 0% Forex fee is very attractive to us who have multiple long international trips each year that often added up to 3+ months out of the country. Dining is a serious big item of expenses when one travels this long.

Totally agree. Having both dining and groceries would handle a significant portion of the abroad traveling. I wonder how Tescos and large Carrefours (like in ME) are categorized, and it might even be worthwhile to pay the surcharge at Aldi (if an option).

Dont know about Tescos, but Carrefours are coded as grocery stores by BofA 1-2-3 card (had the grandfathered 0% forex fee from Schwab which sold its cards to BofA). I do not know Aldi charges a surcharge for using CC. We buy at both Lidl and Aldi when on European roadtrips as they generally are conveniently located and quick in and out. Dont recall using CC has surcharge.

The Aldi here finally takes CC since about a year ago - it even advertised about it! No surcharge. It is not always good prices though.

Question about Spark cards. Sorry if it's already been asked; my research has not found related posts. I have Spark rewards card for my business (since 2011). my wife is also an officer of the business, and I was wondering if she would be able to qualify for the spark cash back (2% card with the $500 bonus)? will CapOne allow two spark cards for same business albeit separate officers? Thank you very much.

Why not just have your wife apply separately as a sole proprietorship?

I have a C1 Miles card, and so DID my wife.
She had about 130,000 points on it, and converted it to another C1 card and
C1 converted it to cash, so then she was given $1,300 into her account as credit.
From how I understand it, to use 'miles', you have to have enough points to
cover the ENTIRE cost of the flight, you can't use all your miles and be short, and make up the difference with cash. All or none. ?
The flight she wants is $2,400, so she would not have enough points for it for a couple more years, hence the switch.

I appreciate your suggestion. I'd still like to find out though if we are eligible to have two separate Spark accounts...Rewards and Cash Back...under the same company name but different officers as primary. Thank you.

Capital one just closed my Spark Business card Friday. I have been using it for two years now. They said it was not being used as they had expected it to be. I used it for everyday spending considering I do not carry cash. I have however used it to buy gift cards for the past two years. They even raised my credit spending twice ending up to $25,000.

I also just had an application declined because of Experian frozen. Only listed reason stated in Capital One's denial letter I received via email.

Called recon and they stated that they would require me to unfreeze my Experian report and wait for 10 days before calling back and asking them to attempt to pull EX for the application to move forward.

Any other DPs recently of this occurring for anyone?
